A man walking through the campus of IIT Madras on the day after Cyclone Vardah on 12.12.2016. Postprocessing done to emphasis the green and remove a few people in the distance. I would like to have had that person in the centre and on the line for symmetry. The road portrayed here is blocked at both ends with a huge clump of fallen trees. Luckily the trees in the middle were much better rooted and only minor damage happened. What is more disconcerting is the fact that the feelings attached with this image is that of beauty and destruction. Property Damage due to the cyclone was extensive for Chennai.
